Director and screenwriter of the films *Men on the Dragon* and the *Food and Entertainment* series. A graduate of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Screenwriting, she immediately entered the film industry as a screenwriter after graduation. She later obtained a Master of Arts in Chinese Literature from Lingnan University. Currently, she is a lecturer in Screenwriting and Creative Development at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. She has participated in the screenwriting of numerous films, including *Always in My Heart* (2001), the *New Girlfriends* series (2002-2005), *Next Stop, Superstar* (2003), and *Chase August 15* (2004).
He began directing films in 2018 and has been nominated twice for the Hong Kong Film Awards for Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best New Director for his self-written and directed works Men on the Dragon (2018) and The Food Game (2022). Among them, The Food Game became the highest-grossing Chinese-language comedy film in Hong Kong history with a box office of over HK$77 million.
Beyond films, he has also participated in various creative works. His works include: stage plays "Rixin" (2023) and "Dinner Play: The Stage Version" (2023); music video directing works "Centennial Trees" (2018) and "Boat Head Ruler" (2019); radio dramas "Too Late to Hear You Say You Love Me" (2006) and "Tang Qi Space Station" (2015); and producing and hosting the television talk show series "Director. Door" (2022-2024), etc.This is a revised and expanded edition, with 7 new articles.
Sunny Chan, an author, director, screenwriter, and performing arts school teacher, has published his first collection of articles about film, discussing movies, actors, film production, award ceremonies, and film culture.

Regarding the impact of the pandemic, mainstream Hollywood blockbusters, co-productions, and other factors on the Hong Kong film industry, Sunny says that the most effective way to change the current situation is to take concrete action. Publishing a collection of screenplays has always been Sunny Chan's wish. In the preface, he mentioned that he hopes to bring together some of his beloved children who, outside of film, have been fostered in different media worlds and have not received much attention from the audience, but who have always been a source of great concern for him, so that they can have another chance to face the audience and friends, and try to extend their destiny through publication.
